Creating your TapText account.
Walks you through signing up, verifying your email, and landing in the dashboard for the first time.
Before you start
You'll need:
- A working email address (this becomes your login)
- An Australian mobile phone you can receive SMS on (for verification only, this is not the number customers will text)
- 5 minutes
Step 1. Sign up
Head to taptext.com.au and tap Start free trial. Drop in your name, email, and a password. We don't take payment details during the trial.
Step 2. Verify your email
We send a 6-digit code to the email you signed up with. Pop it in the box. If it doesn't show up in 60 seconds, check spam. If it's still not there, the link in the signup screen will resend.
Step 3. Verify your mobile
This is just so we know you're a human and not a bot scraping numbers. We text you a code, you type it back. Done.
Note. This mobile number is private to your account. Customers never see it. Your customer-facing number is the dedicated AU number we provision in the next step.
Step 4. Pick your plan
You're on a 14-day free trial automatically, no card required. The trial gives you Build-tier features so you can see what you actually need.
If you want to skip the trial and go straight to paid, you can. Either way, you can change plans any time.
Step 5. You're in
You'll land on the dashboard. From here the next move is provisioning your AU number. See Verifying your AU mobile number.
