Installing on Wix.

Add the TapText widget to a Wix site using the Custom Code feature.

What you'll need

  • Your TapText account ID (Dashboard, Settings, Install)
  • A Wix Premium plan (Custom Code is not available on the free Wix plan)

Heads up. If you're on Wix free, you can't add the TapText widget. The free plan doesn't allow third-party JavaScript. You'd need to upgrade to a Premium plan first.

Step 1. Open Custom Code

In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings, then Custom Code (under the Advanced Settings section).

Step 2. Add a new code block

Click + Add Custom Code. Fill in:

  • Name: TapText Widget
  • Add Code Here: paste the TapText snippet from Settings, Install in your TapText dashboard
  • Add Code to Pages: All pages (or pick specific pages if you want)
  • Place Code in: Body - end (this is the equivalent of just-before-closing-body-tag)

Click Apply.

Step 3. Publish the change

Wix doesn't make custom code live until you publish. Hit the Publish button at the top right of the Wix editor.

Step 4. Verify it loaded

Visit your live Wix URL in an incognito window. The TapText widget should appear in the bottom-right corner within a few seconds.

If it doesn't, see Widget isn't showing on my site.

Editor X

If you're using Editor X (Wix's newer site builder), the path is similar: Settings, Custom Code. Same fields, same publish step.
